Does anyone believe that if you don't ever spank a boy ever till 7 years old he would be out of control and hard to listen ? Should there ever be spanking and will it make a difference if he's never listening ?

No one in my family has ever been spanked. (I am the youngest...about to be 30). We were raised to respect adults and my parents were always praised by friends of the family about how well behaved we were. You can raise a child without raising a hand to them.

Ive seen how kids are when they aren't spanked just told that they are in big trouble and ive seen kids when they actually get spanked and the difference is night and day. One is a brat and the other has respect for adults and rules. I will definitely spank if it is bad enough that needs a spank and i will explain to them after the sit in there room why they got spanked and what will happen the next time they do what they did again. Kids will always be kids and get into trouble but their is a difference to when a kid gets in trouble and laughs at there parent or back talks them after getting to trouble. Or just plain doing what they were told not to right in front of them not even trying to hid it (which to me is saying a big F you mom or dad im gonna do what i want and you are gonna just watch) where a kid who gets spanked will do something bad and and they know there gonna get into trouble and actually feel bad or be upset but bot surprised when they get spanked .

My son is 8 and he's never been spanked. He's a sweetie and an all around good kid. Sometimes he doesn't listen, but we work it out with time to calm down and changing how we're talking about the situation.
