Should I dump him?

So, I've been dating a guy for 2 months. Yesterday, he wanted to go shopping. When we arrived, I jokingly asked "so are you gonna buy me something?" He said "go find something" so I walked off and started looking. Long story short, he didn't find anything for him because they didn't have his size. So he was all pist and didn't buy me the cardigan. He said "if I don't get anything, we both don't get anything". I'm not sure if I'm making this a big deal but I need your opinion. Should I continue to date him? Was I wrong by asking him to buy me something? I could afford to pay for it but that's not the point. The thing that bothers me is his way of thinking. I feel as if he's selfish. What are your thoughts?
