How stupid does the department of whoever controls the traffic lights believe citizens are? In my town they are replacing ALL left turn signals with a green arrow, solid yellow arrow, BLINKING yellow arrow, and red light. Why do we need a blinking yellow arrow? Are people really that stupid that they will turn left on a green arrow into oncoming traffic?

I think this is a gross waste of tax dollars, most people are smart enough to know you yield to oncoming traffic when turning so why should we replace every stoplight? I just feel like the money could be put to better use like improving our school systems, improving the roads, improving the horrible drainage problem here (it floods after any major rain because it's flat, nowhere for water to go). But no, they upgrade all the stoplights to incorporate a blinking yellow arrow. What are yalls opinions?
