Is it normal to be able to hear the babies heart beat at 4 5 wee pregnant? Just used dobbler and could hear it second baby so I no what it sounds like?

Baby's heart don't start to beat until 5 and sometimes weeks 6, and then it's only detectable via transvaginal ultrasound. You won't be able to hear it on a Doppler until weeks later.

Are u sure you weren't picking up your heartbeat? Your placenta and veins have a heartbeat.

You can get a heartbeat at 8 weeks on a Doppler if you are lucky... My doctor has picked it up at 8w with a Doppler on both pregnancies. As the others said the placenta would be the heartbeat you are hearing this early most likely.

Definitely wasn't baby's heartbeat. Your dr will not even try to listen for heartbeat until around 10 weeks. They only look for a heartbeat thru vaginal ultrasound anytime after 8 weeks.
