Sharp, rhythmic cramps 4 dpo...

Yesterday I had one sharp, painful, cramp that hunched me over for a split second. Today I have had the same sharp stabbing pains intermittently throughout the day. No bleeding, no fever, no other symptons... any thought? Isn't 4 dpo too early to experience implantation cramping?
