You cannot ovulate on your period, so no. But your period isn't necessarily a safe time to have unprotected sex because, a: you can get an STI, and b: depending on the length of your period, which have you have sex, and when you ovulate, you can still get pregnant. Sperm can live in your body for about 5 days, so if you don't know when you ovulate by contentiously tracking your fertility, use condoms and birth control.
