Induction stories please.

Tomorrow I'll be 41 weeks along. I'm a FTM and just attended a midwife appointment. I left my appointment upset as my cervix is still closed and I haven't begin to dilate yet so she could not do a full sweep. I've been booked in to be induced next Monday and now I'm feeling terrified as I've only heard bad stories about what people have experienced from being induced. Would anyone mind sharing their experience? Thanks
