Special Forces

Are there any wives out there whose husbands are in the Army SF? My husband has been active duty for about 2 and a 1/2 years now and we are trying to decide what his next step is. His name was put on a list to be recommended for SF and he has been wanting to do it for a long time but obviously won't if I don't want him too. Can someone tell me the pros and cons and maybe tell me if it is actually as bad as most make it seem?
