Newborn help

My son is only a week and 2 days. My hubby wants to try and start a routine with him.

Is this necessary at so young?

I wake him to change diapers when he is napping during the day which usually leeds to feeding. We generally have a playtime from 10am until 11am. Then he is out for a few hours.

Also do you let your newborn just sleep and sleep when he is out? Do you check the diaper or wait until lo wakes up? Is it okay to bathe hime everyday? He is a messsyyy eater lol. Like 2 to 3 days a week with soap and every other day with just warm water and lotion?

I was breastfeeding then day 3 out of the hospital i developed a huge rash all over me due to s drug allergy. Now i am trying to pump and supplement formula.

I am a first time mom and just overwhelmed some. My husband is trying to help and i keep trying to give him pointers like he needs to burp LO before laying him down after a feeding. My hubby is still doing the same amount of housework as before...which wasnt much. I had a csection and i am now trying to play catch up with laundry and some housework here and there.

Any tips would be so helpful!
