Mixed Signals. ED trigger warning
Little bit of context for ya- I have struggled with EDs most of my life and am finally in a good place with my self image and food relationship. My relationship with my boyfriend is quite new and although I'm not sure it's related he is a big boy himself ( I love his body and tell him that regularly )
So my boyfriend has been sending me crazy mixed signals about my body. He tell me how sexy my body is and how much he loves my flat tummy and all that but then he goes on and on about how I need to eat more and how I'm starving myself by his standards. I've explained that I eat regularly and that I love my body but if I ate the way he wanted I would be huge because my metabolism isn't like his. He still doesn't get it and it's driving me crazy. It's triggering for me when people push me to eat lots and constantly talk about it. I'm doing good. I eat every day. I don't understand why he's continuously pushing it. How do i get him to understand that I'm actually in a really good place and that his comments arnt helpful even if they are out of concern ?
