What's wrong with my baby's eye?

Question

She gets giant boogies in one eye. As soon as I get them out, there's another. She has snot-looking something that goes across her eye and makes strings connecting her eyelids. Does anyone know what it is? She has a doctor appointment Thursday. Should I call before that? Should I not even worry?

My niece had a clogged tear duct..and her eye looked similar as a baby..but my niece actually had to go to doctor as eye became more watery and it was only one eye..i dont know if breast mik heloed..she was breast fed...but i did have kids at time just knew she had similar eye bugger(thats what i call it😊)i dont think that serious but id honestly go to a doctor..cause im not sure if it got infected but i think it did cause it was blocked

Do you breasted? I've heard breast milk does wonders for these type of issues as well as skin issues with baby.

It looks like a clogged tear duct. My son had it when he was a newborn. Just do some warm compresses and gently massage the tear duct. Breast milk might also help it.

Do you have dogs or cats she could be allergic to their hair if they scratch or lay near or on something she uses...my oldest had that and they gave her some powerful drops that was thick and made her eye really red 😔😕 I don't think it's pink eye

I don't think it's anything to worry about . I have the stringy stuff in my eyes as well on a daily basis from allergies .

Could be pink eye or a similar eye infection. Definitely something to show the doctor at your next appointment.
