😖Baby Lunch vs Baby Shower???
I'm 31 weeks pregnant and the idea of having a baby shower never came up as an actual event. My boyfriend already has 4 kids and this is my first. He's been through it and hates the idea of a baby shower. I also don't like it because it's already been stressful trying to plan, i have 2 best friends, neither of which will pay for it and 1 who doesn't seem the slightest bit interested at all, and I really don't enjoy so much attention.

I thought about having a baby lunch. I love eating out so having a little get together at a local restaurant would be nice. My boyfriend shot it down saying "that's ghetto and weird." I like the casual aspect of it involving just some friends and family. I've read posts from other women that have done it and actually enjoyed it.

My boyfriend is really making me feel like shit because he's not even trying. He knows it means a lot to me to try to have the best experience with this pregnancy, since this is my 7th pregnancy and 1st baby, but he's not helping at all.

I need some ideas. I'm also spending most on my baby's nursery so whatever plan for a "shower" I have has to be low cost and simple.

My boyfriend gets really bad anxiety being in front of large crowds, another reason for not having an actual shower.
