Should I take a hpt?

Soo.. About 2 months ago our financial situation changed pretty heavily and we stopped "trying". Didnt matter if i got the pefect date or not we still didnt achieve pregnancy. But everyone one said when you stop trying thats when it happens.. Well im 5 days late now an nothing too crazy.. Super tired spells slightly odd taste to food making me not wanna eat and i guess my nipples could be a little darker then normal but nothing striking.. So what you think.. And even tho we arent trying anymore i dont think i could go without a good cry if i see another negative then again i might cry if i am too cuz we went from having 1000+ a month over rent and bills to like $10 over and on foodstamps now :/
