Advice on how to grow a pair and tell my parents?

I'm from California and im currently visiting my parents in Idaho.. I'm almost 14 weeks pregnant and they have no idea that im pregnant. Tomorrow is my last full day here so I have to tell them then😳 A couple years back I got pregnant with my ex husband (who was abusive and wasn't working at the time) and they disowned me.. I lost that baby, so this is my rainbow. I'm now engaged to a great guy who financially helps me a lot, but I have anxiety from the last time and I am so scared to tell them! I know I shouldn't care since I'm almost 25..but I don't want them to disown me again or to not support me. Any advise?

I was afraid of that too. My parents went to Nashville and while they were there I took a test and it came back positive. I was 23. I was so scared that they would never talk to me again. The baby's father and I were on the outs and they didn't like him very much. They came home and i told them. They were upset for me because of my situation but took deep breaths and said they are happy. I'm now 25 and I have a beautiful 1 and a half year old. She is my light and my world. I am not in your situation but my advice is to tell them they're going to be grandparents and accept however they take it. If they want to be in you and your child's life, they will be. If they don't, then that's their loss. I can't imagine losing a baby. I think this is an angel that was sent to you by your baby that passed. I was fully prepared to walk away if my news wasn't accepted because I knew I wanted this baby and I knew it was the best thing that could ever happen to me. I wish you luck and I hope it works out the way you want it to. If it doesn't, remember you cannot live your life to please others because you will regret it. Congrats on your precious gift. It sounds like there was an issue last time becuase they didn't like the guy. I'm sure if this new guy is great combined with their sensitivity to the fact that you had a miscarriage before they will welcome this pregnancy with open arms! Good luck

Oh wow I can see why you would be scared. I don't know your story, however did they ever like your ex? Maybe that had something to do with it.  Do they like this new guy? Are they happy now that your engaged to him?  If yes then I would think they would be happy.  I'm 35 and I was afraid to tell my parents. Lol. But when I did tell them they were so happy and I was so relieved.  Worst case scenario they don't except it now, but I'm sure they will eventually.  You are back in their life now. So you can do it.  Take a deep breath and just do it. 😤😥

There isn't really any of the way but to just tell them. And keep your fingers crossed. Your in a good space now, mentally, emotionally and relationship wise - it's completely different this time by the look of it. Just tell them, you'll feel guilty not telling them in person once you leave! You go this!

Go to the store and buy a card and write in it then give it to them with some flowers or candy that way you don't even have to say a word it is always easier for me to write something down then to say it out loud

Just do it. You will feel better once you let it out. You're 25 and on your own, you have a great guy and ultimately it is your life. A baby is a blessing and they should know that. Don't let their reaction bring you down either way. As long as you are happy, that is all that matters

Just take a deep breath and tell them. Hopefully they will be happy for you. If not then they don't deserve your sweet baby anyway. If they are happy with the way your life is now then I would think they would be happy about the baby!
