U/S says 6lb 10oz with 4 wks to go?!

Question

Has anyone else been predicted to have a large baby?? I'm the last of my group of friends to have a baby and theirs have all been under 7. With four weeks to go- I'm thinking I'll have a 9lb baby and the thought of laboring a baby that big is terrifying me.

Ultrasound weight estimations are often off by a pound or more. You'll be fine

They predicted my baby as the exact same weight 6 pounds 10 ounces at 35.4weeks! My husband and I are both really tall but knowing she could be over 8 pounds makes me nervous haha!!!

At 36 weeks my little guy measured 7lb 15 oz... doctor said it could be off a pound either direction! 😬

They thought my baby was 5lbs 3oz at 36 weeks. He was born at exactly 37 weeks at 6lbs 4oz. I wouldn't take their estimate as anything concrete...it's a ratio of formulas they use to approximate the weight not an actual weight. There's no way my baby gained an entire pound in one week

Not reliable so I have no idea why they put so much emphasis on itnother than if they are afraid the baby will become too large to pass through your pelvis. My first daughter they thought would be small and I went a week overdue. They said she would be about 5-6 lbs and she came out 8lbs. Now this kiddo they are saying is going to be a 10lb baby and that they may need to induce a little early which I'm not so sure I am on board with but I also don't have a problem speaking up. I have an US on Monday to guess weight again and discuss her size but I would like to naturally go into labor. I guess that if that means a c section then it just does. I just feel like they are very frequently wrong about the weight.

I'm so glad my doctor doesn't do a 3rd tri growth scan because if I seen the results some people got I'd be scared for labor too. They told one of my friends her baby was going to be small about a week or two before she gave birth and she gave birth to an 8 pounder. One friend was told her little girl was 8 pounds 2 weeks before she gave birth and her baby was only 6 and a half pounds. 
Ultrasound weight isn't accurate, hardly ever.

At my 37 week ultrasound my boy was an estimated 6lbs12oz...I'm a little terrified! BUT ultrasound weights can be up to two pounds off so I'm hoping he's smaller.

At 36weeks & 2days my growth scan estimated my baby boys weight to be 7lbs 14oz and they guess he'll be about 9lbs at birth.
It makes me nervous, but I know it's an estimation and I'm FTM (37weeks & 5days now).

I really really hope they are wrong. Mine said she's 6lbs last weeks and predicted to be 8lbs when she's born!!! It blows my mind because I was a 6.1lbs baby, husband was 6.10lbs and our son was 6.12lbs. I really hope they are wrong!
