high blood pressure

I'm 17 weeks with our baby boy, we found at our appointment this week, however my blood pressure has been high this whole pregnancy. This last appt dr asked for a 24 hr urine sample and some more blood work. Baby had a strong heart beat and looked healthy. Any other mommies have blood pressure issues? Any tips to help with it? I'm soooo nervous. With my first my blood pressure didn't get high until the end. I've cut out caffeine and also been watching my sodium.
