steroids for baby?

Im 22+6 tommorow with twins and might be getting steroid shots for them soon. I was just wanting info from mothers who have gone through this. Side effects? How did you feel? Did it help the baby? What does it do exactly?

I'm 35 weeks and got the steroid shots a couple of weeks ago. I have had no other complications and have yet to have my little boy but everything has been okay since. Although, it was quite painful and I don't have a problem with needles

I am 33 weeks 1 day today and just got home from hospital yesterday as there had been concerns about my Lil mans heart rate during my ultrasound this past Wednesday...while I was in hospital they gave me both rounds ofthe steroids just in case they needed to deliver early or if in the future anything changes and he needs to come early for any reason....I didn't feel anything other than a sore butt cheek for a little while and from what I've been told and researched it's definitely beneficial in case the babies come early and especially with twins....it just helps make sure the lungs are more fully developed and ready to be out in the world bc prior to a certain point in the pregnancy they haven't yet created whatever it is that opens the lungs and airway up on their own and this helps to ensure that will happen!!! It's also used for babies and children with asthma and has been shown to be very effective!!! I'd say go for it....it won't hurt and will only help ensure your baby's have nice strong lungs when they come out!!!

I got them last week. Omg they hurt! I actually started shaking. They gave me one shot one day, another one the next day around the sane time. The second time didn't hurt as bad since I was expecting it. It'll burn fir a few mins but then it's done.

I am 24w+1 today and got my second injection of steroids this morning for baby's lungs. Yes it hurts, burns and stings. But will all be worth it the longer she stays in. My weekly progesterone shots hurt a bit more to be honest.  I got all injections in the top area of my bum. Yesterday I felt like I looked a bit pale in the face and today I feel like my face is flush. Lol although I'm prob just being silly, since I really notice every little change and twitch and tinge. I had one round at 25 weeks and another round at 31. It just feels like a regular shot. A little bit of burning afterwards but it went away within 30-45 seconds. I asked them to do it in my thigh instead of my butt. No side effects at all.

This is going to sound weird but 100% ask for them in your but it hurts so much less than your arm (it's a muscle shot) I had one in my arm and one in my butt and my arm hurt for 3 days after my butt maybe an hour

I got mine at around 30 weeks and so far it has been the most painful thing I have ever experienced (obviously I haven't given birth yet lol ) it's just a lot of burning afterwards. I had no side effects that I was aware of.  No idea if it worked since I am now almost 35 weeks pregnant.
