does anyone know what kind of bite this is?

I'm wondering if this needs to be checked out. It's on my leg and hurts and is mildly itchy. I didn't see what bit me but my husband thinks it's nothing. I scoured the Internet and couldn't find anything. It's a pain to get to the doctors because my husband is active duty military and we live away from anyone that can help watch the kiddos on short notice... Any help would be appreciated!
