My birth story started on monday evening ï had my 40 week appointment with my midwife at 1900hrs

My birth story started on monday evening ï had my 40 week appointment with my midwife at 1900hrs.i told her the baby was not moving much as before and this started on sunday because of my anxiety of being past my due date.Anyways she made an appointment for me at the hospital for a CTG scan where they would monitor the baby's heartbeat during contractions ,cramps and other movements.the results were ok they tested my urine for infection and we were told to come back the next day tuesday 25/10/2016 for another CTG scan and also to see a gynecologist anyways we had the scan it was inconclusive qua baby's movement i had to go for an ultrasound the results were ok the doctor checked if ï was dialated which i was'nt so we were taken to the pregnancy suites where they did an extensive CTG and baby was ok so we went home dropped by a restaurant for spare ribs all you can eat went home and started cramping.from 7:15pm tuesday my hubby called the midwife who came and checked me and ï was 1cm dialated and ï was finally in labor so we timed the contractions and they were 5-7 mins apart the midwife left and promised to come back at 11pm anyways after she went my contractions were between 2-4mins apart and after each contraction i had a need of going to poop but nothing came.anyways my midwife came back checked how further i had dialated and to my big surprise ï was no longer dialated.she called the hospital made arrangements for me and off we went to the hospital that was around 12:30 am we reached and the hospitals midwife checked me for dialation and ï was already 2cm dialated.around 1am i got my epidural which didn't act after another hour ï got another shot of epidural which now kicked in and ï could have sleep for a while after the epidural had kicked in my water was broken two hours later ï had this urge Thats i must push so ï ringed the midwife told her what was happening she checked me and ï was at 8cm.i woke up my hubby to tell him to all the parents but ï was adviced it can take longer to reach 10cm.so we didn't call.hubby went back to sleep ï also tried to sleep but half hour later the need to push was just too much ï ringed the nurse and midwife told them ï couldnt stop the urge of pushing she checked me and ï was at 10cm already so she told me to just push.this was the hardest part i pushed for 2 hours with the help of episiotomy and a vacuum pump baby Dylan was born at 8:10am on the 26th of oct 2016 weiging 3755grams.NB the birth details were so scary ï cannot write down.but at the end of it all ï got my hansome baby who is very healthy
