Pumping while Exclusive breastfeeding

Hi, I am a first time mom and have a 2 month old baby. I wanted to know if pumping would be a good idea. I would like to pump and maybe bottle feed him the milk once in a day. Would it lead to nipple confusion or him weaning off early? I would ideally want to feed him as long as possible..
