Please Help

My bf and I have been together for a year now and I've just recently moved to another state to finish nursing school. Although things haven't been just a walk in the park with us, we've managed to still be together. Well unfortunately we got into a back and forth disagreement & he ended it with "goodnight" ... I didn't respond bc I though he'd text in the middle of the night. Well here it is 5 days later and I haven't heard anything from him! Nothing! I haven't reached out either bc I want to be strong and teach him something. It's eating me alive bc I want to call and go off! I don't want to sound like a high schooler, but at some point you get tired of going back and forth and being the one to mend the breakups. Should I be the one to call?
