What To Wear?????

Question

Today is the BIG DAY. Today I have my interview. Should I dress formal or business casual? I have a nice pair of slacks that I plan to wear. I think if I wear my blazer it may be too formal? I have this nice blouse shirt, its this soft purple color. It's nice and idk it looks like a shirt I would wear to church? I think I want to wear that with my black slacks And black flats. I am at lost, PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE. I want to look nice And presentable but without being too formal.

Dress one step nicer than what you're going to wear to work. In other words, if the job will be business casual, wear business formal to the interview (possibly same outfit but add the nice blazer). If your job would require jeans, wear kahkis or slacks and a nice top. That's the general idea. Good luck at your interview!

I always say it's better to be overdressed than underdressed. If your wearing flats I think the blazer will look nice. I always wear a suit to an interview.

My grandmother always said once you get an interview you should pay a visit to the manager (or ideally the person who is interviewing, if you know who it is) and scope out what they're wearing for work (unless it's a uniform they're in) and dress as smart as them. I've always worn a shirt in the same colour as any uniform they expect me to wear (ie for a porters John b where they wore yellow I wore a pale yellow blouse, for a specialist response team who wear burgundy I wore a burgundy blouse etc) as them seeing you in the uniforms' colour will click in their subconscious as you're most suited to the job. Visiting them beforehand and asking questions about the job or for a walk round also looks good.
