FTM! Breast feeding HELP!?

Question

What do you guys wear to breast feed in?? Do you wear nursing bras? If so where did you get the nursing bras from? What type of shirts do you wear while at home? While you're out? What is comfortable right after birth to wear? I was thinking about wearing a long moo moo gown that zips in the front and just unzip to breast feed?? I just want to know the easiest way to breastfeed! Any questions you ladies can answer I appreciate it! 😁

I wore nursing tanks under loose tops while I was home and when I went out. Target has basic nursing tanks that were perfect for layering and the most comfortable ones that I tried. I bought some nursing bras at a maternity store but never felt like they fit properly. I liked a bravada nursing bra that I ordered on Amazon when I needed more support. It was stretchy enough to adjust as needed.

I really like the "love yoo too" nursing bras. Super comfy while pregnant, I sleep in it and wear another all day. I got a deal buy two get one free. Great array of sizes, I'm a 36F so was struggling to find one in the stores.

I never bought into the expensive nursing bras, instead I just bought more feminine looking sports bras(for comfort and expansion) and used those. Breast pads with the backing were necessary bc I would leak through the cloth only ones. Latch the baby on as much as possible bc that suction is more powerful and productive than a pump (use the pump though in between feedings and if the baby is having a hard time latching). Practice makes perfect. This is baby #3 for me and we went straight from the breast to sippy cups around 12-13 months old:) Good luck to you!

Don't forget to get nursing pads at least for the first few weeks. You will leak a lot in the beginning.

Are you a stay at home mom? I use comfy clothes that are easily moved and I don't mind leaks in. Nursing tanks and camisoles. I use a nursing bra when I go out (I am a bigger chested mama).

You are looking for comfort and ease of access.

I got a nursing bra- even though I'm still pregnant. I wouldn't suggest buying any until you think you're about to pop, or maybe even a few days after the baby is born because my breasts have grown so much and I don't even fit it anymore. But FOLLOWING!

At home I just wear old tees and it doesn't matter if I have to lift them up to feed. I do wear comfy nursing bras which I got from a baby shop in uk called mothercare but you can even get them from amazon. I do suggest you do get measured and fitted for nursing bras though. Whenever I'd go out I used to wear spaghetti straps tank top and normal top on top that way whenever I had to breastfeed out and about I'd pull the tank top underneath down to expose the nipple the the normal top up so there was no tummy or hardly any breast showing, it never looked like I was feeding my baby, just like I was holding her. I did this since I find nursing tops just as ugly as maternity clothes lol.
