Paraguard?

Can anyone tell me their experience with paraguard? Im 0lanning on getting one and want to know the pros and cons of getting it?

I had paraguard for 2 years. A little discomfort with the insertion and removal but not pain. Never had issues with it while it was in.

The insertion of mine was very painful and the nurse struggled to get it in. I was bleeding for like two weeks. Today I went for an ultrasound to make sure it was the the correct spot and they told me I need to go back for another ultrasound because it seemed too low

I had it for 6 years and started get ovarian cysts after 4. I had it removed because I wanted to start trying for any other baby.
That was 14 months ago.
I conceived my first after 3 months of trying.
Not saying it's related... But I have to wonder..

I currently have paraguard. I got it on July of this year and I like it honestly. The insertion wasn't painful in my opinion and I only had cramps that afternoon that I had it inserted. It's a quick procedure as well, so it would be quick. The only side effect I've been experiencing is heavier periods, but I'm not complaining since my period have always been quite heavy. It's not something a tampon can't fix so I wouldn't worry too much, unless you don't want heavier periods. I can't complain though, paraguard has done its job well and I haven't gotten pregnant since I've got it.
