Baby Items that you find to be a waste of money/unnecessary?

What are some baby items you find to be a waste of money, unnecessary or useless and why? Very curious!

Diaper genies or any sort of special diaper pail.

Don't let your diapers sit there for weeks and it won't smell also invest in these for poop diapers

Agreed we got a diaper genie as a gift, but it wasn't on the registry or anything. The baby Keurig type machine....I wish I would spend more more on a baby formula maker then my coffee pot! Lol.

We stuck to the basics, something to sleep in, something to eat from, pump, swing, car seat, clothes, diapers & the little 1st aid set with clippers, thermometer, etc. They really don't need much...

Rock n Plays, bumbos and other sitting devices, walkers. They are unecessary and promote flat spots on their heads and delay development. Tons of toys when they are newborn, they pretty much want to look at you!  I skipped a separate bassinet and used the one in the pack n play.

A changing table. Ours is used for storage. Laying a towel on the bed was way more convenient, comfortable, and feels much safer in comparison. 
I also went overboard being over prepared with baby bum creams, jellies, lotions- it takes forever to get through one jar/bottle!
