Is my mom crazy?

My mom once told me when I was 12 that she thought her life wasn't real and that everyone wasn't really who they said they were. She said that she thought everyone was an actor including me. Now that I'm 17 she's extremely paranoid when she caught me smoking weed once she acted like I was on meth. She thinks I'm addicted and I have a horrible problem. She's really rude to me about it. Yes I know it's illegal because I'm 17 but we live in Colorado so you'd think she wouldn't act like it was evil or something. Last night I was at my best friend's house and she calls me on the phone and sounded very odd and serious. She said, "I need to pick you up right away." When I begged her to tell me what was wrong she wouldn't tell me. She was acting like she couldn't tell me what it was over the phone so I got scared. I figured my family member must of passed or something and was very anxious and nervous to find out what was going on. She then proceeded to pick me up and she seriously drove 30 minutes over just to show me this picture of a girl that resembled my best friend that was wanted for stealing mail off people's porches in our city. The girl did resemble my best friend a bit but she had a bunch of tattoos and a totally different hair style. She admitted that she knew it wasn't my best friend but she also said, "I just don't want you to get in trouble because I don't know what those people have in their house (referring to my best friend's family..) I'm not racist or anything but I just don't know. (They're Mexican-American.) If someone thinks that's your best friend they may call the cops and then if they search the house you'll be arrested too. They don't give a shit if you're not involved." I said "What are you talking about? They don't do anything illegal if that's what you're implying." She said "Well just because something is legal for adults doesn't mean it is for you too. (Referring weed) You'll be sent to prison." Yes i know I would get in trouble for having weed but I wasn't even smoking and I would never have enough to go to prison but she thinks I'm an addict or something. She said having or smoking weed frequently is equivalent to my cousin who is on heroin and who does it in his moms house. I felt really freaked out with how paranoid she was being so I just played along. I didn't want to make her feel bad and say it was totally ridiculous for her to think something like that and take such drastic measures. Does my mom seem crazy to you?
