How often should my 6 month old nurse?

My daughter was premature, 6 weeks early to be exact... so we juts now at 6 months "2 days ago" started baby food she isn't a huge fan but she seems to be slacking off on nursing and I don't think she's eating near enough to not still be nursing!! She maybe eats 4/5 bites and starts gagging on it 😳 how often should she nurse still? I'm worried she doesn't wanna nurse as often now!!

Your breastmilk is probably thicker. Have you tried table food? My 2 oldest hated baby food and went straight to table at 6/7 months. I EBF right now, and I only allow him to have 3jars of baby food a week. I wanna make sure he has no allergies.

My son will be 6 months on the 6th. But he doesn't get baby food yet. So I still feed him every 2-3 hours.

Food is for fun until 12 months, baby led weaning is great Google it. Don't worry about the food because your breastmilk is still and should be her main food source until 12 months. She should be having the same amount from you.

My daughter was born 34weeks as well! She's 8m now. We started her on oatmeal at 6.5m and slowly added veggies/fruits. Some days she'll eat decently, other days she'll take 3-4 bites & be done. Not sure what you're doing...but if you haven't, try making her baby food? I make all of our daughters food. I tried a taste of jar baby food and gagged how gross it was, so I totally would understand if baby is not liking it bc of that. Anyway, so maybe try making homemade food if you're not already? My daughter on the weekends nurses total 5x with 24hrs. During the week at daycare she eats an extra bottle, so 6x. This hasn't changed since we started solids. BM is still their main nutritional source, so I wouldn't worry if your baby isn't that interested in solids yet.

Once I started my LO on solids, I increased the amount of nursing sessions throughout the day. I nurse her basically every two hours - an hour before solids and an hour after. 
If you are concerned about her nursing less, just offer more sessions throughout the day so she has ample opportunity to have as much breast milk as she wants/needs.

I started my baby on one table spoon once a day than I realized that my breastmilk was not fully satisfying him I went up to two table spoons twice a day but he still at 8 months mainly breastfeeds
