Actually more like 3rd or 4th. I'm considering going back to a guy who was sort of emotionally manipulative and lied to me a lot. But he's gotten older and I think it might be different this time. I honestly don't know what to do.

Why set yourself up for this again. You already know how the story ends. And it's not good. Don't put yourself through that again. You deserve better. Wait for a decent guy that actually doesn't use you. That respects you love you adores you and cares about you and your well being. Don't settle for less. I hope things get better.

I think maybe try being friends with him first to see if his actually changed. Take it slow. From my experience manipulative people rarely change, they just get better at deceiving you.

Going back to someone after two or three times is usually unhealthy... And if he was emotionally unstable and lying to you, even if he is older now, won't it hurt you more if you go back?
