Bleeding n freaking out

I'm 11 weeks and had intercourse at 7 weeks n had brown spotting afterwards. I had an ultrasound n everything was fine but we decided to wait a while to have intercourse again so to not do anything to harm the pregnancy. Now at 11 weeks we decided to try again. And this time right after intercourse I was bleeding red blood n when I went to the bathroom had some clotting. I called the Dr she said to lay down n drink water n call in the morning to set up a blood test n ultrasound. I'm freaking out. Is this normal n am I'm really not going to be able to have intercourse my whole pregnancy? Should I be worried?
