antidepressants??

Does anyone on here take antidepressants while pregnant? I stopped taking mine when I first found out and now I'm 29 weeks and feeling so depressed I can't stand it!! I'm wondering if any of you mom to be take anything for your depression?

Some are ok to take during pregnancy so I hope you were advised by your Dr to stop your meds.

I took some with my first. That's the only time I have ever taken any- bc of my stress levels and just life in general- I was a senior in high school and just goin through this tough situation. My dr prescribed me antidepressants I stopped taking after I had my son

As soon as I found out I was pregnant I consulted with a psychiatrist that mostly works with pregnant women and she changed my medication to some that are safe to take while pregnant. One is Zoloft and I'm not sure what the other one is called (for depression, anxiety and insomnia). Some pills are healthy to take while pregnant while others are not, I would recommend speaking to someone that specializes in this topic.

Yes I've been on 20 mg of Citalipram (spelling?) daily for over 5 years, have had 2 healthy pregnancies in that time. I guess no meds are 100% guaranteed safe but if mental health is going to suffer then that's not good for bubs either, I guess it's a matter of weighing up the lesser evil. Take care 🌺

Yeah I take 100mg pristiq its safe for pregnancy and I'm hoping to go down to 50mg soon. Speaking to the doc on Monday.

I also stopped taking mine due to finding out we are expecting and think I need to go back on mine. I take 20 mg of Prozac but waiting till my second trimaster to start taking them again. I'm 9 weeks 3 days. Took them with my last pregnancy after the 1 trimaster as well.
