Do you prefer new or used baby gear/clothes?

What are your preferences?

I personally don't mind use gear or toys, but I will always always always buy a new car seat, never a used one!

Both! If I see something I like then I'll buy it. But I also love getting free stuff from people.

I would be thrilled to get used everything. Babies barely use things the first time around, and the used clothes have already been washed for extra softness

Any safety gear we will get new but furniture etc I'm all about used.

Used clothes, especially for 12 months and under.  Most of the time you can get them looking practically brand new!  I haven't bought anything else used but my sister has given me a bunch of stuff (bathtub, bumpo, rock n play).  I feel ok with that since I know where it's coming from!  It's so awesome to have a sister who just had her last child, who is also a boy, in March!

I always prefer new but I never turn down used stuff that's in good condition. Our crib was used but great condition and given to us for free, and so was the playpen we got.

Both! I prefer new but I do buy some things used if they don't look like it was used like clothes, toys, ...

I'd never buy used bottles, car seat ect.

Gear/toys/pacifiers we are buying all new but clothes we have new and used because I do know they will be sitting up and poking in the clothes

For gear, I prefer new. But I had all new clothes for my son and I quickly learned it didn't matter. We had to do laundry every day/every other day for the amount of times he'd spit up all over himself, accidentally get pee or poop all over his clothes, etc. within a few weeks you couldn't tell if they were bought new or not.

I have both.  Infant car seats ARE used, but by my sister and sister in law (so I know background and when they bought them new).  
 
I also have a used Chicco high chair, Baby Einstein jumper, pack n play (new mattress), two play mats, and a TON of hand me downs (from sister and sister in law).
 
I may not buy the car seats, bottles, and anything that goes in their mouth (including toys) used from strangers or thrift store though.  Clothes are okay - just wash before obviously.  😜

I bought everything new. Not a fan of used things and thrift stores. I think part of it is cause where I currently live only poor people go to thrift stores so I wouldn't feel comfortable
