How to induce labor?

Baby measuring 40weeks my sister is only 34 weeks. She's dilated to 1/2 cm as of yesterday.  She's trying to get her labor going so the baby don't get any bigger cuz if he does she will need a c section. He weights 7.4 oz. 
Any ideas on how to get it going. Some that you know work?

That's always an estimate. Baby isn't full term and is he/she was born now would be considered a preemie. If she was at risk the doctor would be talking about induction. Do NOT stimulate labor on your own. The baby is not ready.

Even though baby is big, his lungs aren't fully developed at 34 weeks. It's better for her to let baby come closer to her due date. The last thing she wants is a baby in the NICU

I would not worry about that. It's always just an estimate. The OB knows what he's doing so if he isn't worried yet then she shouldn't worry. Otherwise she might end up with her baby in the NICU. And 7lbs is not big at all. I'm pretty small and my baby was over 9lbs and I gave birth vaginally with no problems.

I would not try to induce labor at 34 weeks.. regardless of the baby's weight it's not fully developed yet.

My son was almost 9 lbs and I delivered him vaginally. 7 lbs isn't that big. Both mine were over 8 and I was a week overdue with both.

She needs to just trust her body and let it do its thing.

She said in the post the baby is measuring at 40 weeks. So if they did a scan and said baby is measuring at 40 weeks that means the baby's lungs are developed. A friend of mine was induced at 32 weeks because her baby was measuring at 40 weeks. Always talk to a doctor of course before thinking about trying to induce naturally but if he says it's safe they say sex, bouncing on a exercise ball, walking and, nipple stimulation can cause you to go into labor I'm sure their are other ways but that's just a few off the top of my head.
