make him trust me?

Me and my boyfriend or ex not sure, have a really rough relationship lately we are long distance and 2 weeks ago we broke up I guess we'll he broke up with me and their was no communication what so ever, I texted him last night telling him I loved him and I hope he was doing okay and I hope we fix things one day and he replied with "I can't trust you" I know if you can't trust someone you can't be with them but we were together for 1 year and 2 months I don't want to waste all that time he is the love of my life and these 2 weeks have been very hard for me. I want him to be able to trust me again. What can i do? :( I really want him back..
