My friend had an abortion recently and it was confirmed on the day that the baby and the sac passed... But 1 week later she went to the toilet and felt something. This came out does anyone know what this is?????? Should she be concerned?? PLEASE HELP

She should maybe go to the ER and bring that with her. That looks huge, she doesn't want to wait too long in case it's something serious

Definitely go to the Dr just to make sure everything is normal. Work isn't as important as finding out whether or not you're healthy. I would be scared and haul butt to the hospital just to be checked out. That's crazy, and it would give me piece of mind

I can't tell you what it is, possibly a mass/tumor?!. I hope she's alright and seeking medical attention urgently.

I generally follow the rule if it's thicker or wider than 3-4 quarters than to check in with someone.
Doctors also generally tell me if it soaks a pad in under an hour for 2-3 hours to also go check in.

I am not by any means a doctor. These "guidelines", may be completely wrong or made up, it's just what I have heard repeatedly.

I wish her the best, but please try and make sure she has or will see a doctor, her health may be at risk.

A week after my 12 week miscarriage I passed something about that big. It was leftover tissue. Has she gone to her follow up to make sure everything had successfully passed?

Could be the placenta? Depending on how far along she was. Did she just take the abortion pill or did she have a surgical abortion? If she just took the pills and went home then she could've passed the fetus/sac but not the placenta. Either way. She should definitely go to the DR and get checked. She doesn't want to end up with a infection because everything didn't pass out of her.
