My baby hates sitting down. I have been trying to teach him how to sit but he prefers standing and he hates tommy time.

That's how my son is, I can't even put him on my chest without him fussing.

No need to "teach" him how to sit. Just give him lots of floor time and he will do it on his own! And DEFINITELY don't put him in a bumbo or other sitting device as they actually do the completely opposite of teaching them to sit. Babies don't build up the necessary muscles needed to sit because the device is holding them in place. These babies will also become unsafe sitters because they didn't get to the sitting position on their own so won't know how to get out of it safely. They will throw themselves backwards n stuff. My son never did that. We just gave him lots of floor/tummy time and he just started getting into a sitting position on his own at 7months. Gets out of it safely. Never had to put pillows all around him or anything.

Both my kiddos hate sitting. They'd rather stand or roll everywhere 😂
