At what age did you leave your baby to return back to work?

My baby is nearly 8 weeks old and due to no money I have had to get a part time job. It's only for a few hours for a few days a week. But I'm being criticised by my sister for leaving him to early. She has been a stay at home mum to her children since she was 16 and is now 26 so she has known no difference. Is it to early for me to be leaving him?

My son 6 months my daughter 4 weeks my husband was home to be with her and I got a job offer so I took it

3 weeks! Had to pay my bills and I felt ready to work again. My husband is the stay at home parent so it was easier leaving my little guy knowing he was at home with dad.

To each their own she has no place to criticize you for needing to care for your child. I went back to work when my son was 6 weeks old as part time.

With my first I went back full time at 9 weeks. I also said I'd never do that again. With my second I went back at 16 weeks. With my third I went back at 18 weeks

You got to do what you gotta do for your baby. Unless she's gonna help pay your bills, ignore her ass.
