Missed BD opportunity ?!?

Today was my peak ovulation day and SO was not up for BD. He said he was feeling sore as if he bent his penis the wrong way or something during previous BD. And now he's gone straight to sleep. I try to keep it sexy and fun but sometimes he's just not in the mood. It's hard to keep optimistic while TTC. I don't know what I can do so the sex doesn't come off as a burden. I don't want my SO to feel as if I only want sex because it's my fertile week...I want him to still feel like I just purely want him. But then I get discouraged because I feel like this day could be a missed opportunity. Has anyone else experienced this?
