Depo to help with ovarian cysts?

Despite my own beliefs, my gyno highly suggested I get the depo shot as a last resort to help with my cyst pain. I've tried multiple things to get rid of the pain but no luck. So I decided to go with it. I'm about 5 weeks in and this is Hell. I cannot stand the cramping and ovary pain. I've considered going to the hospital a few times the pain is so bad. What do I do?
