a beautiful story 💜
There's so much negativity going around I thought I'd share a beautiful experience I had yesterday .
I took my son to a playgroup. There was a woman with a hijab. She was such a beautiful spirit. Our kids played together, she allowed my son to sit with her daughter on the loonie ride.
He was not afraid of her. He was not intolerant towards her. He viewed her the same way I did. Which was to treat her like I would anyone else.
Just remember ladies, those little eyes are watching you! It's our job to teach our kids acceptance and to be be open minded. With all this negativity towards Muslims, people of colour, transsexuals or gay we need to remember to teach our kids that we are all deserving of acceptance and love.
To the lady whom I met yesterday, thank you for showing me that genuine people still exist.
