question to moms

So my son is in the second grade, but we will be moving in the next few months.. we are kinda flexible about when. Do you think it would be better to switch asap or wait as long as we can?? IMO I think after Christmas break or spring, so that he can get use to it sooner? Opinions please on when you think is best to switch schools. Thanks
