How closely do the patterns in your pregnancy/delivery/etc follow that of your mother's?

pregnancy/delivery/etc follow that of your mother's?" /> Obviously, everyone and every pregnancy is unique from another. But I've heard that women generally follow the same patterns that their own mom's did during their pregnancies and deliveries. How true is this for you?

Mom had super fast labors with both her kids. With my sister (first child) she had no signs of labor until her water all of a sudden broke 3 weeks early. Total labor of 3 hours. With me, her second, same situation, no signs water popped 3 weeks early and 5 hours labor. For me I was 40weeks on the nose when my labor started, I labored for 3 DAYS. Water never broke on its own, pushed for like 30 mins I think. My sister went on 40+4 in labor for 24 hours water artificially ruptured, pushed for 1 hour.

My mom has a bicournate uterus with not enough space to carry to term. Her and I both had bad first trimester sickness, but then a total breeze of a second trimester. After that the similarities stop.

They were able to successfully stop her labor at 24 weeks and I was born at 27. Because of that my Mom never experienced a 3rd trimester! On the other hand, I'm 32 weeks and having a blissfully uneventful pregnancy.

So I haven't hit the delivery stage.  Some aspects of my pregnancy are similar to hers, but she had relatively easy pregnancies while I have had every symptom known to mankind lol.

My mom got severe eclampsia with all her pregnancies. The highest my blood pressure has ever gotten was 138/88 and that was at 37 weeks with my first. My pregnancies are completely different than hers.

Very different. My ma's waters never broke on there own , mine did . She had quick natural delivery..I was in labour 26 hours and needed an emergency c section .

Very different. My mum gave birth to me at 28 weeks via c section. I was induced at 38 weeks due to gd.

When my mom had me labor was 4 hours and she pushed once.

I was induced, labor lasted 28 hours and I pushed for over 5 hours.

So quite opposite for us, also some different factors at play. Will be interesting to see if any future labors are more similar!
