different types of birth?

To me, a natural birth has always been vaginal, unmedicated. 
Then there's just your regular vaginal, and the csection. 
I'll hear a woman talk about a natural birth and then say something like "yeah they gave me epidural.." 
And I'm instantly confused about this. I have always thought natural meant.... Natural? So which is it? Is is a natural birth even though you were medicated or not?

My doctor told me that natural birth means absolutely no medical intervention.... no induction, no swiping of membranes, no medications, not having your water broken for you, no use of forceps.

I had a vaginal pain med free birth.

But it wasn't natural. I was induced with pitocin and that sucks.

My next two were C-sections.

So technically none of my birth experiences were natural ones. Natural for me means no interventions and pain med free vaginal delivery. Everyone doesn't seem to agree. Epidural are not natural.

It seems like people say natural because they don't want to say vaginal. Vagina is not a bad word for me. I am not embarrassed. T saying it.

Pfft, I would never claim to have had a natural birth. He came out of my vagina,  but I was delightfully medicated. I give major props to any woman who passes on drugs.

Why does it matter? A healthy mom and baby is the desired outcome. How you get there doesn't matter. Birth is birth.

I consider any type of birth a natural birth. Unless there is some voodoo black magic kinda shit going on, then every kind of birth is just as "natural" as the next.

To me, natural birth is how you would have delivered if you were in the woods, basically. Just what your body does on its own. Naturally.

Vaginal birth is any medicated OR non-medicated birth where baby comes out your vag.

So, all natural births are vaginal, but not all vaginal births are natural.
