This argument is really childish on both your parts, BUT I get what you're saying. It shouldn't be that big a deal for him to support his child. My baby's father said "I'm planning on paying you either way, so what method I use to pay you doesn't really matter to me"... we are going through the court for child support because I need that security for my son. My son deserves that. If he has the money and he plans to support him anyway, what difference does it make if it's in writing? And for him to say he's going to "drag it out" he can try and do that all he wants, but he's gonna have to back pay starting from the day the baby was born. So good luck to him.

Don't get into arguments like this it will just make you upset especially if you're pregnant or have a little one.

Go through the proper channels and get child support for the child he deserves the financial support.

If the guy is saying you're not together then don't take anything to do with how he lives his life that's his problem if he wants to behave like a moron

Your both acting very immature. But if he was really going to pay you, he wouldn't have an issue with child support. He wants to give you the bare minimum and that's it. Go to court and settle it for your sons sake

Take him for child support. It doesn't matter if you are dating or not he should be supporting half of what it cost this raise his son. And you having a job doesn't effect anything. They document it but it doesn't effect how much he needs to pay. Ask them to take it directly from his employer / paycheck also. That way you know for sure he's paying. And you can have it direct deposited in your account. Make sure you have a void check, routing and account number. :) the two of you might benefit from  coparenting counseling as well.

Sometimes you just gotta take a man to court but I'm a firm believer that parents should try to work things out between them first. If they can't, then go to court. You two made the child together without interference from the court, so you need to try to raise him/her that way. You basically assumed he wasn't going to support the child without giving him a chance to prove he will. Then the childishness kicked in and it was all down hill from there.

First off you're both fighting like an old married couple. Stop replying, take him to court, and settle it the legal way. He needs to support the child and you do too. If he wants to spend his money on something so be it as long as he's taking care of his child also. And don't use your child as a way to get his money and hurt him in that way. Chrissy. That's absolutely true. I don't understand why either parent would use the child as a pond, what I write to vivi was a personal situation that my wx husband did when we slip up, I gave him to him on the agreeed upon time and he then changed his number and moved and I didn't have contact with my then, 3 year old son until the cops told me all I can do if file an exparty hearing to get him into so I can get my son, I then got primary custody, he'll be 8 in January. I know and see a lot of women keeping the child away from the dad unless he gives them money, it's horrible, if the father is good to the kid takes care of him/her I think is beyond wrong to keep him like it's a carpet shampooer that they pay for to rent by the day.

You want hold support? Take him to court, end of story. 
He has a job? They send papers to his job they have 30 days to respond the determine how much parenting time the dad has and how much he makes and how much he spends on bills and they calculate it and you get X amount for your baby and they start taking money out of his checks. Arguing about things is just a waste of breath, if y'all don't get along then only talk when it's about the child. It's the only way to go girl.
