In California do you get half of what you get paid or full pay? Does anyone know and how many months can you take off?

So you can get four weeks before delivery and six weeks for vaginal, eight weeks for c-section with SDI. It's 55% of your pay, of the highest quarter of the previous 12 months. If you are filing a claim in Oct-Dec, then it is the previous 12 months ending June 30. There is a 7 day waiting period, so you do NOT get paid for your first week off. After the 6-8 weeks, you can use Paid Family Leave...and that is up to six weeks of the same pay, and you can take it all at once or break it up. You will need to go to your companies HR department to set up your maternity leave, to ensure you have all of the paperwork done in order to protect your job. If you just tell them you're taking the time off, and don't go through the steps of taking a leave of absence, then they do not have to save your job.
