My great breech birth experience!

So a week ago on Saturday- early morning- I woke up to mild contractions already 6-7 mins apart. Took me by surprise as I had just had a check-up on Friday with no indication that baby was going to come. Anyway once I was sure I wasn't imagining the regularity of the contractions, we called the hospital and they told me to come in. As I was attempting a breech vaginal birth they wanted to monitor me from the start. So we quickly packed my bag, woke up our little girl and headed in. I was already at 5cm and they said it looked like things were moving fast. My sister came to take our daughter and soon afterwards I was at 8-9cm. The midwife said as soon as my water breaks, it would go quickly..my OB came and so did the pediatrician. My water literally exploded lol and I suddenly had the urge to push. It took about 4 pushes for her bottom to crown, which really caused the burning feeling, but one more push and out she came. No problems, no tears, nothing. Total time from the first contraction to the birth was 5.5h! Both the midwife and pediatrician were happy as they had never seen a breech birth before. I'm so happy my OB suggested I give it a try- it was easier and quicker than my first birth! Either way, at 10 days early, we couldn't be happier to welcome Kiana Matipa to our family! 3.320kg, 49cm. Couldn't have asked for a better birth!
