How to stop breastfeeding?
I go back to work in a little less than two weeks so unfortunately I won't be able to breastfeed anymore. When I fed my LO directly from my breasts it's fine, but I hardly get anything out when I pump so I won't be able to keep up with his needs while working.
I stopped cold turkey (horrible idea) on Wednesday. I had so my lumps, my breasts were sore and engorged so I massaged the lumps and expressed about five ozs both breasts combined this morning. I read online that the best thing to do is to pump less often like once a day or every other day and my brain will get the signal and stop my body from producing milk. Is that true? Any advice from the ladies who've gone through this before? I really hope to resolve this before going back to work, I'd hate to be stuck working 12hr shifts with heavy, achy breasts.
