This makes no sense to me, questioning ER doctor....

At the ER yesterday (long story but everything is fine), I had a few questions for the doctor. I asked about the differences between a chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage. He told me he had never heard of a chemical pregnancy before and looked at me like I was crazy. What? Then, he mentioned how if I believed the old wives' tale about heart rate, that it looked like I'll be having a boy. Yes, the heart rate was 107, but I was only 5 weeks 6 days yesterday. Umm, isn't it too early for the "wives' tale" anyway bc heart rates that early don't even get up that high?? I swear I saw a quack doctor. Thoughts?
