Tooth implant??

Question

Just wondering if any of you have had to have a tooth extracted and an implant put in its place? 
If you did, can you tell me how much it sucked on a scale of 1-10 and if you regretted having the implant put in afterwards? 😂 Do you have any tips or things you'd warn someone about?

I did! When I was 16 I was ice skating, lost my balance, and fell face first on the ice. Scariest moment ever!! My whole front tooth came out, it was very traumatizing. Especially at 16, I was in high school and very subconscious about my looks. Anyway, I dealt with a dental bridge for 2 weeks before my surgery and it was terrible. Having to take out my tooth (bridge) before every meal was embarrassing. Getting the implant was the best decision ever. The surgery itself was okay, I was awake the whole time, just numbed up. They literally drill into your gums- yikes I know. My best advice is to wear headphones into the surgery so you can't hear the drilling, as long as allowed by your surgeon. I also advise keeping up with the pain after the surgery by taking pain meds during the scheduled intervals on time and not missing a dose! You'll have some gum pain for about a week but then it'll ease up. It'll all be worth it in the end :)
