conceive twins with clomid?

Question

Hello, I don't believe my husband and I have any fertility problems, however, we are hoping for twins. I'm thinking about taking clomid, any luck with others WITHOUT any fertility problems? I also have twins in my family so I'm hoping heredity and fertility aide can help us. Has clomid helped anyone else conceive twins? What days did you take clomid? What's dosage? Where did you get it? Thanks :)

What an idiot! Chlomid is used purely to make woman who are unable to ovulate, due to a medical reason, to do so. It doesn't cause healthy women to have a multiple pregnancy. There can be so many more health problems for both the babies and the mother during a multiple birth that you don't seem to care about and even if it had been a possibility, what exactly would you do if you ended up pregnant with 3 or 4? Abort a few so it fits with your plan? Grow up you stupid woman!! You make a mockery of women who are genuinely struggling to conceive.

You get it from a doctor. You take it under their supervision. Since you don't have fertility issues, you could have a higher  risk of overstimulating. This could end in cysts, inverted ovaries (requires ovary removal) and hospitalization. Or could lead to 3 4 5 or more babies...in which case would be extremely dangerous for you and your babies. Not worth the risk IMO.

You guys, this chick is literally trying to get people's unused clomid just so she can have twins. I'm so baffled at her apparent lack of concern for her health and the health of her future children. Go look at her page. She's trying to get women's unused clomid.

I would be careful taking clomid without being closely monitored by ultrasound. There are so many things that could go wrong! I wouldn't risk it unless directed by your healthcare provider.

Why in the world would you want to take this medication if you don't need to?! I did two rounds of it both failed it it made me feel absolutely horrible.

I have undiagnosed infertility, but am so thankful to be pregnant with our first baby!!! With help from another medication and an IUI.

Seriously though, no matter if it's one baby or two. Be thankful you don't need medication or help of a doctor to get there.

Twins can be a high risk pregnancy. Which is why my RE only transferred 1 embryo. They are a blessing when they happen but I would not advice taking a prescription you were not given to purposely have twins. Not only is it ILLEGAL, it's dangerous!
