When can i travel?

So my baby will be 5 weeks old by the week of Christmas and I really want to take him to Arizona to visit my family, it's about a 9 hour drive from Salt lake city. Would this be ok for him? Has anyone else traveled far this young?

I was in a car accident when I was 9 months pregnant and my car was totaled. We traveled 12 hours in 1 day when my son was 2 weeks. My daughter is 5 so she helped keep an eye on her brother since she rarely sleeps when we travel. When it got really late and she fell asleep we were stuck in traffic over the grapevine and I crawled into the back seat to take care of the baby. It's not that hard to travel with a baby in the car. Just make sure you stop often to change diapers

I just traveled with my two week old and 2 year old. I sat between the car seats in the back so I could watch baby and make sure her head didn't fall over and I pumped my milk while she napped then pace fed her. She slept most of the way. My husband was driving btw lol

Up to you, me personally I would wait until baby got his first vaccines at 2 months.
